Ariadna Masó' interview, former CEMS student

1) Hello Ariadna, could you introduce yourself ?

Hi everyone! I am a former CEMS student from ESADE Business School and did my exchange at HEC Paris in 2011.

I am currently working in the Investment Banking industry and I am passionate about entrepreneurship, travelling and exploring new cultures.

 I speak four languages and currently studying a fifth one. I found a connection point with Lingueo that enables me to study whenever I can despite busy lifestyle. I am going to explain you my experience with Lingueo, let’s go!

 

2) Was the language central into the CEMS scholarship and where you able to easily prepare the tests...

My first and second CEMS languages are English and French, respectively.

For the former, I took a couple of preparatory courses at university. The result was positive although I had to combine CEMS classes, attend preparatory CEMS English test course and part-time internship. I wish I could have had the chance to use Lingueo by then to better organise workload and arrange learning hours at my convenience.

In case of French test, I opted for a two-week summer course at Louvain School of Management and HEC Paris. The quality of the course was good enough with a reduced group of students but the price and time (summer) were two points that could had been improved by using an online learning platform like Lingueo.

3) How did you hear about Lingueo and in which way this solution seduced you? Is it adapted to the CEMS student needs?

I heard about Lingueo during my exchange at HEC Paris from its founder Guillaume. I saw strong potential of implementing an online learning platform for CEMS students like Lingueo, as I see there are three main drivers that will help students to fulfil CEMS language requirements: flexibility in timetable and place, as well as tailor-made preparation.

We CEMS students have a strong international driven profile and it is important to facilitate students to learn languages as a core feature of this community and programme, no matter when and where.

4) Will you use Lingueo in your professional life?

It seems to me that Lingueo is a powerful tool to keep on improving and studying new languages that can add value in our professional environment.

Therefore, I am sure I will continue using this online learning service in my professional career.

5) Would you recommend Lingueo to your friends?

Definitely, Lingueo positions as an appropriate solution to learn languages with flexibility and quality at the same time. I will encourage my friends to use Lingueo as well!
